About Annapurna Circuit Trek

Annapurna Circuit Trek Overview

The Annapurna Circuit Trek is one of the world’s most legendary Himalayan adventures, offering an extraordinary journey through diverse landscapes, ancient mountain cultures, dramatic valleys, and some of the highest trekking passes on Earth. More than just a trek, it is a complete Himalayan experience where every day reveals new scenery, deeper cultural encounters, and unforgettable mountain panoramas.

Located within Nepal’s renowned Annapurna Conservation Area, the Annapurna Circuit Trek circles the majestic Annapurna Massif while passing through subtropical forests, terraced farmlands, deep river gorges, alpine meadows, Tibetan-influenced villages, and high-altitude deserts. The journey gradually unfolds from green lowlands into the rugged wilderness of the Himalayas, creating one of the most diverse trekking routes in the world.

Your adventure begins from Kathmandu and follows the Marsyangdi River valley through traditional villages inhabited by Gurung, Manangi, and Tibetan Buddhist communities. Along the trail, ancient monasteries, prayer wheels, chortens, suspension bridges, and mountain settlements reveal the spiritual and cultural richness of the Himalayan region.
The greatest highlight of the trek is crossing the world-famous Thorong La Pass at 5,416 meters, one of the highest trekking passes in the world. Standing at the top of the pass surrounded by endless Himalayan peaks creates a truly powerful and unforgettable moment. The panoramic mountain views include Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Gangapurna, Dhaulagiri, Tilicho Peak, Manaslu, and many surrounding snow-capped giants.

The journey also includes the sacred pilgrimage site of Muktinath, a spiritually important destination for both Hindus and Buddhists. As the trail descends toward Mustang and Pokhara, trekkers witness dramatic changes in landscapes, climate, and culture that make this trek uniquely rewarding.

At Adventure Pathway, the Annapurna Circuit Trek is carefully designed to combine adventure, acclimatization, safety, cultural immersion, and authentic Himalayan experiences. Our goal is to create a meaningful mountain journey that allows travelers to fully connect with the spirit, beauty, and diversity of the Himalayas.
